RE: IIUG ELection

I agree with Jerry that it is sensible for the board to elect the president, but the 2006 board appointing the 2007 president and then asking for nominations for the 2007 board might seem a little premature. I know it's the way it has been done in the past but I don't think it's ever been as blatant as this. Could it be that people wouldn't put their names forward while Stuart remains president? You never know... When you have a group of people (13 board members) who have been working together all year, they have a very good idea who makes a good leader. Makes sense they should be the ones to elect the next President. Yes, I think term limits should be addressed and set, not only for the President, but for board members too. Don't know where the holy grail (by-laws) is. I think it should be reviewed and updated, say, material about working with IDUG. I do know being on the IIUG Board takes a lot of time and effort, being President can suck the life right out of you. --- Christine Normile <christinenormile@mac.com> wrote: > Excellent question, Norma Jean.
