Stewart, I usually use logs of 5 meg in development and 10 meg in production. I don't have any problems. I like to allocate at least 20 logs. When we first set up the database we made a decision to use a large number of small logs (256 K) so they were frequently written to tape. We are now finding we are getting some long transactions. We are probably looking to re-initialize with a new log size of 2Mb (or possibly more), does anyone have any opinions/experience with logs of this size or greater. Any feedback will be appreciated.
