How to verify ontape archive without restoring?

Hi. We are using IDS 10.00FC4X5. We have a database that is just over 1
terabyte in size, and we do a level 0 archive of it weekly using ontape (we
never do level 1 or 2).
I was wondering if there was a way to verify the archive without doing a full
restore of the tape. Mostly because it's very time consuming to do so, but
also because we don't really have anywhere to actually do the restore into. So
is there some special "tape verify" command, or could I restore a couple
DBspaces somehow--and if I did this, would I need a database of the same time
to do so?
Just looking for some ideas. Thanks in advance.
Jonathan
Check out archecker, that's it's primary purpose, to verify and validate an
archive.

Thanks for the help. The archecker utility definitely seems to do the trick. It's unfortunate that it takes as long to verify as the backup takes, but I guess there's no way around that. Thanks again Jonathan
Archecker is actually better than using a restore to check the archive. A
successful restore doesn't guarantee that the archive didn't miss any
pages. Archecker verifies that every page that's supposed to be on the
archive is in there including the preimages of pages modified during the
archive. It was years before anyone realized that in Online version 5.01
through 5.07 ontape was missing pages if the server was busy. There was no
archecker than and many of us did restore testing and never figured it out.
