I called Informix sales office Well, there is the cost of producing media (I know, I know). However, Informix seem to have CD as a preferred media at the moment. Well, look, I've worked with Informix for 12 years on both sides of the fence and I've seen what your describing several times. But then I've also seen it happen with people running Oracle and Sybase. And while it is frustrating, it's part of buying software. Hell, I've even had problems like this installing Windows '95. However, if you're dealing through a third party, perhaps you should take it up with them. Alternatively, let us know where you are, and maybe someone on the newsgroup could get you in contact with someone effective in your area.
