ODBC drivers

Hi, We developped an application using ODBC drivers from Informix. When we measure the aplication, there is a lot of traffic going on between the client and the server side. For each fetched row there is communication. Informix ODBC drivers only emulate "extended fetch". Are there ODBC drivers who really have "extended fetch", and not only emulate it ? Any experiences with them ? TIA Guy
