Re[2]: ontape to a disk file
Is this a secret code or one you can share? I use IDS 7.3x on hpux and that
would be useful.

There is code available from support that will rotate the files off to
.1 .2 etc when they reach TAPESIZE. I do this on hpux with ODS 7.22.
There was also a rumor that the limitation would be addressed in IDS
7.3x ...
