Accessing w/ ROWID vs using INDEX

Hi, I know it sound silly, but I can not make any sense out of output from "SET EXPLAIN" . I use SE 5.0. This happens on both SCO and AIX machines. QUERY: ------ select value_acf from acf where option_acf="oe001" Estimated Cost: 2 Estimated # of Rows Returned: 1 1) informix.acf: INDEX PATH (1) Index Keys: option_acf Lower Index Filter: informix.acf.option_acf = 'oe001' QUERY: ------ select value_acf from acf where rowid=14 Estimated Cost: 116 Estimated # of Rows Returned: 1 1) informix.acf: INDEX PATH (1) Index Keys: ROWID Lower Index Filter: informix.acf.ROWID = 14 Thanks in advance Sadru
