It was pretty clear that this is a first cut at integrating 4GL into EGL, You didn't mention this quote, "In 5.1.2, the absorption of 4GL into EGL isn't complete, but IBM is working to include key Informix 4GL features in the next version of WSAD...There are a few things that EGL doesn't do that 4GL did." And the "extend 4GL applications to the web BY WRITING NEW APPLICATIONS (capitalization mine) that leverage their existing 4GL skills" statement is accurate. I'm not saying that it's a straightforward code conversion, or a simple or a painless job today, but it is a start and it shows that IBM is heading in the right direction. Joe Lumbley
