I am currently on a project that will provides reference data for approx. 40 distributed servers. These servers will be indifferent environments and have a permutation of RDBMS/platforms eg. Oracle/Unix or MUMPS/VMS to name a few. I would like to provide a generic solutions and presently considering the Informix product called 'Enterprise Gateway' as the tech brief implies that it should able meeting the connectivity requirements. I would appreciate any comments on this product, as to pro's and con's and any implementation issues eg. security. Our platform is Informix Ver 7.1/Unix. Anthony Larman(anthony.larman@magnet.mt)
