Password Encryption?

Hello all, How does one implement password encryption between the client and the server? Our clients are VB, RDO and Informix ODBC 3.3 (on Windows NT) and our servers are 7.3x on both SCO Unix and NT (I do not dare ask the question if it is possible to implement. I just assume I have not found the way). Alternative question: Is anyone out there running Informix in NT domains? If yes, can you connect without passing user name and passwords from the client?
