I have seen this before! A company bought a new server that ran SCO Unix instead of Altos SCO Unix. They didn't change their Informix. They had worked around the problem by setting the UID of all users on the new system to 0. (Unbelievable but true). When they couldn't figure out why all users could access private wp/spreadsheet files, they called my company. On finding all UID's 0, we suggested they change them back to non-0. Then we found the original Informix "problem". A new version of Informix and all was well. I'm sure this isn't the only way to get this error message, but it is one way. -- gburnore@netcom.com Gary L.
