I did several large projects in Paradox a few years ago, and the ability to
construct queries with such logic without resorting to 4gl was one of the
major factors that swayed us to it (instead of xBase, R:BASE, etc.). I'd
recently
been toying with the idea of using Paradox (or Paradox PAL programs) as a
client/server front-end to some of our Informix databases, but recent comments
here alluding to Paradox's allegedly shaky future have me worried. Anybody
care to flesh out or substantiate the allegations? Anybody know of another
front-end with a QBE interface? Anybody using Paradox successfully as a
front-end to an Informix server?
Thanks in advance!
