Just a thought. Before New Era Informix had Informix r4gl gx ( graphical extension ). A p-code runner that ran on your windows pc using the 4gl code you are familiar with (subject to ms-dos limitations: memory handling and 8.3 naming conventions). It was supposed to produce reasonably attractive front ends that looked like they "belonged" in a windows environment, with the added bonus of code that would work unaltered on your old terminals. I have never used it, this is just what I heard - but the concept sounds attractive. I might be worth investigating a litle more. } Scott writes. } >We have just found out that we need to develop a package very quickly.
