My experience has been that NT does not have the same maturity level as Solaris. It's ability to handle the load of a serious web server at this time is questionable. I used to work for a company who had pretty good luck with using SQL Server on NT as a backend database for some financial modeling applications and then used a SS20 as the web server. It seemed work very well until they had over 2 million database transactions per day, and performance started to suffer. They switched to Sybase on NT ( because that is an easy port from SQL Server and the sales support was faster ) and seem to be doing well. If Informix on NT is a solid product you may want to consider moving your database to NT and leaving your web server on the Netra.
