Thanks for the reply, I guess, i'll be waiting for the glibc version. As my development systems are all Glibc based. I'm pretty sure informix will release a glibc version but it might take some time. Considering that it's only RedHat and Debian using glibc. I do hope oracle releases a glibc version also. George
