I would
a) Take a level 0 archive under 7.14
b) Install 7.23 in a new $INFORMIXDIR.
If you need to go back to 7.14 just
a) shutdown 7.23
b) point $INFORMIXDIR back ti 7.14
c) restore the level 0 archive.
Simple!
There is an onmode option to revert back but it only goes back
to 6.0!!
