Re: Windows '95 or Win NT & Informix-SE for DOS

Yep, this looks familiar. I received the exact same message in NT and in OS/2 Warp. At the time I was more concerned with the OS/2 problem, so I asked Informix Support if SE for DOS (version 4.10 DC1) and OS/2 Warp were compatible. They said in theory they were, but they could not give me any possible solutions for the '...must be built auto for DPMI' problem. I don't know much about DPMI. I asked the Informix support guy if SE for DOS was built to the DPMI standard. He said yes, but the tenativeness of his response didn't fill me with confidence (he thought he remembered seeing it in a tech manual someplace). I believe there is a different standard (VCPI ???) that won't work in an OS/2 shell. I know you asked a question about NT / Win95, and I answered one about OS/2, but maybe there's enough in common to give you a couple of clues. If you get it to work, could you post the method?
