I am running informix SE 7.23 UC 1 under Unixware 2.1. While using a terminalprogramm it is necessary to create a 7-bit database. So I used DB_LOCALE=de_de.1011 and CLIENT_LOCALE=de_de.1011 when I created my database. On the other side it is necessary to get a connection from Windows95 clients to the database.(INTERSOLV 3.01 32-BIT INFORMIX). To convert the Windows 8-bit code to the 7-bit code of the Database, i used the following parameters in setnet32: DB_LOCALE=de_de.1011, CLIENT_LOCALE=de_de.1252 and LANG=de_de.1252. If i want to connect to the database from Windows95 (for instance with MS-Access) i receive the message "Incorrect database or cursor name format" from the ODBC driver. Is anybody able to help me ?
