Connecting From Client to Server in Online
We are working in Online 6.0.
Had a tough time connecting from one Unix Client to the other Unix Server.
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts on Client I hope need not be the same as of on the
server.
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts on Server is as follows
testing ontlitcp Client telnet
where
testing is the DBSERVERNAME on
the HOST Client
using TCP/IP Protocol
and telnet Service
gives "908 : Invalid error message recived"
Wheras the Unix to Unix connection using telnet works perfectly.
Can somebody help with a detailed explanation.
