RE: VB Read only problem with Informix.. HELP!!!!
Hi,
You have only mentioned that Visual Basic tells you 'read only' while
accessing some tables. How you are accesing is not clear. But there is
a possible situation when this problem occurs.
Are you creating a snapshot, dynaset or table type recordset to access
data in Informix? In case you are creating a dynaset and you want to
do any insert or update, then the table should have a unique index on
it. If there is no index then the 'read-only ' problem may occur.
This problem may also occur if you creating a dynaset from a join of two
or more tables.

}We have been accessing the Informix OnLine version 7 DB via
}VB(in NT)-Intersolv ODBC(NT)-I/NET(NT)-Informix(UNIX) for over several

}Yesterday I created a new table in the same database and granted the
