RE: Q: IDS 11.5x - features..

Well, I guess if you don't know the answer... what good are you? Ok, let me rephrase this... >From what you said, SolidDB isn't planning to support TimeSeries data types. Most likely because DB2 doesn't support it either. :-( Not a good thing if you want an in-memory copy of data that may contain time series. (Like collecting I-Pass data on a road way...) Ok, so then the next question is if anyone knows if the TS data is stored in blobspace. Again besides Alan Caldera or Kevin Brown, who is intimate with TS? -G > Date: Tue, 7 Jul 2009 17:18:23 +0100 > From: obnoxio@serendipita.com > CC: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Re: Q: IDS 11.5x - features.. > > Ian Michael Gumby wrote: > > > > Ok here's the question... > > > > I'm assuming that the Time Series Datablade still works and that the > > realtime loader also still works. > > > > However neither works with solidDB and solidDB doesn't natively support TS. > > > > So if one wanted to do TS in Memory and synch with IDS, You'd have to do > > a bit of work. > > Quite a bit. > > > So do you do a shared memory segment with persistent objects, then have > > a thread that would run queries and synch with IDS TS?
