informix online run automatically

Dear ALL, Can I run informix online to online mode from root other than informix user. I'd like to run informix online to online mode from informix user after rebooting automatically, how to do it ? I'm using HP-UX 10.20 and informix online 5.10. I'd very appreciate for every response, Regards, Tri Wibowo.NR

You can run Informix as root, but it's also easy to run it as Informix. This can be done at start time by including an entry in /sbin/rc2.d (usually a link to a script in /sbin/init.d), which does something like: su - informix -c "script_name" where script_name is a script that sources the relevant environment variables for your instance and does the required tbinit.
