RE: DBD-Informix 6.0 on Linux

David, You need to download and install the Client SDK for Linux, which is free. Shutdown Informix, unzip the files, install the rpm, run the installclientsdk script, start up Informix and DBD-Informix will be able to find the esqlc libraries. You can find the Client SDK at the Informix IDN website or Intraware. I have made the same mistake myself. No harm is done. BTW, I suggest that you also download the /JOHNL/DBD-Informix-0.61_02.tar.gz distribution and install it. Although it is still officially beta, it has some extended functionality. There is a bug in the test script t/t00basic.t. Before running "make test" change line 52 from: &stmt_fail() unless ($dbh = DBI->connect($dbname, $user, $pass, 'Informix')); to &stmt_fail() unless ($dbh = DBI->connect($dbname, $user, $mask, 'Informix')); Also if you install DBI-1.08 or above, you will get error warnings that are harmless, you can ignore them or fix InformixTest.pm. ------------ David M.
