Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
I'm running SE 5.x on Solaris X86 and SPARC boxes as well as MIPS etc. I
haven't had any problems. THe declarative ref. integrity is reason enough to
shift from 2.x SE. Dbaccess is really useful for quick maintenance on sites
that don't have ISQL and there are a lot of improvements in the 4GL if you're
using that.
Don't know about the later engines as I've seen no literature or demonstration.
But I'd certainly recommend going from SE 2 to 5.
