Driver Manager Replacement Module?

Hi, I've just got Informix SE running on Linux. Our software uses PHP to connect to any ODBC compliant database. Our client is running Informix and wants us to set up their ODBC for them (no dba???). I have read the "Informix ODBC Driver Programmer's Manual" and have come to the conclusion that we need a third party Driver Manager. I guess Informix has a Driver Manager Replacement Module but It looks like you have to be a C programmer to use it? (please prove me wrong). I wish unixODBC had a driver for Informix. They have a sweet one for Postgres. I'm one step away from trying to convince our client to switch to Postgres. Anybody know of a free ODBC driver manager for Informix on Linux? Thanks, Ottawa 67 Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/
Update: (not that you care ;-) I'm trying to use unixODBC to get Informix working. There are currently no unixODBC drivers for Informix. If I get this working I'll post a HOW TO to www.unixodbc.org Ottawa 67 In article <93vnav$2dv$1@nnrp1.deja.com>, Ottawa67 <ottawasixtyseven@my-deja.com> wrote: > Hi, > > I've just got Informix SE running on Linux. I've got it working. I can connect to Informix SE using unixODBC. Look for a HOW TO coming soon at http://www.unixodbc.org In article <944e9b$eg$1@nnrp1.deja.com>, Ottawa67 <ottawasixtyseven@my-deja.com> wrote: > Update: (not that you care ;-) > > I'm trying to use unixODBC to get Informix working. > > There are currently no unixODBC drivers for Informix. > If I get this working I'll post a HOW TO to www.unixodbc.org > > Ottawa 67 > > In article <93vnav$2dv$1@nnrp1.deja.com>, > Ottawa67 <ottawasixtyseven@my-deja.com> wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I've just got Informix SE running on Linux. Looking forward to it. > Ottawa67 <ottawasixtyseven@my-deja.com> wrote: > > Update: (not that you care ;-) I did care; I didn't have time to research an answer, and I didn't know the answer without doing the research. I've marked your articles as unread so that if there was no answer within a week or so, I would help with the research. Since you've found the answer, I don't have to do that research, and I for one appreciate you taking the time to write a HOWTO describing what you did. > > I'm trying to use unixODBC to get Informix working. > > > > There are currently no unixODBC drivers for Informix. > > If I get this working I'll post a HOW TO to www.unixodbc.org > > > > Ottawa67 <ottawasixtyseven@my-deja.com> wrote: > > > I've just got Informix SE running on Linux.
