Tuxedo + Informix = Hang

I'm playing with a Tuxedo TP using an Informix 5.0 engine, without TP/XA interface. When things got wrong, I have to shutdown the whole set of processes. All processes sleep. All I can do is reboot my Ultrix machine. I know PC hacker would not be afraid of that. Could any body suggest a more polite way of doing it ?
