He have SE. To find the version he should be able to type:
sqlexec -V
or perhaps:
$INFORMIXDIR/bin/sqlexec -V

:I touched SE! Do these names make any sense to anyone:

: fglgo - I know it's got to do with 4GL. Is it 4GL interpreter?
Yes.
: lynxgo - I'm not even sure if this's Informix related proc.
Perhaps they have the lynx character based web browser??? Otherwise no
clue.
: otlgo - No clue
Same
: sqlexec - I know in SE every session kicks off a sqlexec proc.
: Does the engine itself fork off any sqlexec's? If not
: what processes/daemons does the SE engine start?
sqlexec is the "engine" of SE. There are no other processes/daemons.
As you say it's automatically started whenever a program that needs it
is executed.
: isql - I know isql is Informix's character based report generator.
: Any more info. ?
acego is realy the character based report generator.
isql I think stands for interactive sql and contains the functionality
of dbaccess, but as far as I can remember can also display perform
type screens and perhaps start ace reports.

:All help would be greatly appreciated.
