Yes, HPL respects all constraints. Depending on the load mode
(express/deluxe)
the exact way this is done differs somewhat.
Express
-------
Constraints disabled during load and re-enabled afterwards. Any
violating data
copied to violations table. Manual cleanup required.
Deluxe
------
Data which violates constraints rejected (or filtered to violations
table)
during load.
