This would be the best way to accelerate the learning. The training manuals are great to refer to for years to come. And the 7.1 ESQL/C manual is now available in .PDF format at: http://www.informix.com/informix/products/new_plo/wgs-eng/ows-web/ows-docs.htm ( Thanks INFORMIX! ) There are some examples to learn from with the ESQLC distribution that shouldn't be overlooked. The ultra cheezy training method is to write simple 4GL code fragments, compile the code, and study the .c and .ec code, but this could cause vision and/or brain damage. :-) Seriously, it would be great to head over to the book store, and see a book on INFORMIX's ESQLC, as a how-to, just like all the how-to on VC++, etc. This will probably come out about the same time as the New Era 7.0 book. :-) BTW, I couldn't help but notice a new consumer version of the SQL manuals at the book store...
