Most ODBC drivers cannot handle Informix DATETIME columns correctly unless they are defined as YEAR TO xxxx, Where xxxx CAN month, day, hour, minute or fraction. In other words the DATETIME column must begin with a year. If you think about it you should be using an INTERVAL data type to represent pure times without a date component.
