Hi y'all! The article is the Buyer's Guide column, entitled "Servers on Steroids" by Kevin Burden. It may be found on pages 77 to 82 in the March 10th 1997 issue of ComputerWorld. Although I found that some of the text did not mesh with the tabulated results in the comparison of NCR and IBM, his introduction gave some insights into the pros and cons of SMP and MPP, as well as a new option, SMP clustering. Hope you find it useful. Best regards, Nigel Edmund Nigel Gall wrote: } } Hi Jackie et al.! } } ComputerWorld newsmag had an article on SMP vs MPP for large data } waerhousing/scientific projects.
