Linux and Informix cont'd...

I used the fully qualified domainname and now I'm able to create a database and tables. The file I corrected was /etc/sqlhosts: The line entry was: local_se seipcpip systemname.domain.name sqlexec Should there also be an entry in /etc/services? I don't have one there, like sqlexecd and it would seem like there should be one. Also, when trying to compile a very simple hello world type .ec code, esqlc is giving me the following error: /usr/informix/lib/esql/libixos.so: undefined references to 'crypt' Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I do have LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to: $INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql:$INFORMIXDIR/lib:/usr/lib:/lib Should I have any other env variables set? Thanks, Bob Beaulieu bobb@metroed.net
