O'Connor jim@tiamat.fsc.com This is port-dependent. If the NFS in question supports fcntl/flock locks over NFS reliably, we don't forbid NFS use (anymore). If it doesn't, the only safe thing to do is to trap it with a -125 error. For example, Sparc SunOS releases 4.10.UC1 and earlier disallowed NFS use, but 4.10.UC2 and higher (including 5.0) allow NFS use. -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland "It's 1992!
