Multiple databases in a form

Is there any way to do a lookup to a different database in a Perform screen? I have tried numerous ways with most of them involving following the 2nd database with a colon (y:table.column). Since I can do it in Ace I thought there had to be a way in Perform. I'm using 4.1 and 5.0 online. Thanks Dick ~
