It's just interesting - how do you manage different locales encodings (of course if you have to manage them, and I suppose you have to), since one database stores data just in one locale that you have set in DB_LOCALE on database creation? And there are no Unicode or UTF support in Informix. ( yet ) ? Or may be it is ? Does anybody have any information on this ? Octav, there is a UTF-8 locale and a Unicode datablade (which supports some special Unicode datatypes). More information should be in the GLS manuals (http://www.informix.com/answers).
