>>If you are using Excel 5.0, it comes with MS-query. You can use this to get data from Informix to Excel through ODBC and I-Net. Nguyen Nguyen<< This is true. The only problem I have with MS-Query is that it, to a certain extent, assumes the user has some knowledge of the DB structure and of SQL. For example, I believe that MS Query will present the column names as they appear in the DB (which can be quite ugly), not as user-friendly names. It also does not automatically join to lookup tables. Thus, while MS Query can be a powerful tool, apply it only when your user base is fairly savvy. One other point, Business Objects is just releasing a product to ease db access from within Excel. This should be very easy for end users. -- Benjamin Taub Dataspace Incorporated, Ann Arbor, MI, USA PH: (313) 761-5962 FAX: (313) 761-5967
