Hi We are using informix 732 4gl and IDS now. We are shifting to IDS 10. Can any body throw some light how much change of space for all these changes will be there.

I4GL 7.32 continues to use the same amount of space as before. IDS 10.0 uses around about the same space as IDS 9.40 - say within 50 MB, which is mostly noise these days. IDS 9.40 uses more disk space than IDS 7.3x, probably. But since you don't tell us which platform you're on (and RISC chips use more disk space for programs than do CISC chips), it does matter. It also matters which version of IDS you are comparing with. Overall, if you budget on about 400 MB installed space, you will probably be about right. It will be under 1 GB, and over 200 MB - unless you take steps to strip out unused material. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
