The University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center is currently looking for a Database Coordinator with 2 years experience experience in relational database administration. The qualified candidate will have installed and supported relational databases (Informix is preferred) in a DEC OSF/1 environment. This person will be trained to support mainframe IMS/VS database, as well as be exposed to a wide variety of Client/Server applications development using Progress. The Health Science Center currently runs MVS/ESA on a IBM 3090-200J mainframe and OSF/1 on a DEC Alpha 2100 server. As a university, we are very rich in networking with inter-institutional SNA and TCP/IP connections.
