ER Problem

All ER on AIX 5.3 IDS 9.40.FC6 replicating (source to target) selected tables to Solaris 5.8 IDS 7.31.FD6X1. After running out of locks on the target box (due to a massive delete independent of ER on a table outside of the ER environment) and a long transaction rollback (due to a second attempt at the same delete but with lock table exclusive) I'm getting error "The Datasync is not present." when running 'onstat -g dss' on the target box. Replay and Snoopy are still moving forward on the Source Server but no transactions are being written nor are ats/ris files being generated. Obviously I will have to re-sync data, but what do I need to do to restart the datasync? cdr stop, cdr start on the source ?
