Using this logic Windoze 95 is the best operating system in the world. Just because it takes 50000 Oracle types to keep an Oracle instance up and running vs 8000 Informix types to keep an instance up and running just means that you have a stronger future with the lemmings if you specialize in Oracle. cheers j. In the UK last year there was something like 50000 Oracle Dev jobs advertised last year, whereas Informix had around 8000. 50000 can't be wrong (I want them to be though) Jamie
