Peter, I have only installed 7.23.tc1 on NT. I encountered the following: - the name of the computer can't be longer than around 14 characters - create user informix with administrator rights - login as informix - start the install Everything is pretty simple from there. Everytime the installation completes, the Informix-Admin program is not listed, there is Database Explorer icon available. I have rebooted after the installs. I stopped all programs that were running during the installation. I still don't have the right icons, and the program files for DBExplorer are not on the hard drive either.
