Threads and ESQL/C under LINUX

Hi all, the documentation of esql/c describes the settings that must be used to build multithreaded applications using the DCE-library (aka POSIX pthread...). Only two settings are needed. First the environment variable THREADLIB must be set to DCE and second, the command line switch -thread must be used with the esqlc command. I have done so, and I got the error message: esql: When using -thread, the THREADLIB environment variable must be set to a supported thread library. Currently supporting: DCE, POSIX(HP-UX 11.0, Solaris 2.5 and higher only) and SOL (Solaris Kernel Threads). What does it mean??? Possibly threads are not supported unter LINUX. Has anyone tried this?
