I'm interested in hearing more, but this is my understanding: It all depends whether your using raw devices and the version of Legato(we us Sun's Networker ver 4.1.2). If using raw devices, you need a separate product from Legato(Sun) called a Database Kit(?). It costs appx. $6.000. There is also another product available from Legato called Rawasm. It is less expensive ($?), but you have to take the engine down while doing the back-up. Hope this helps. I would like to hear about other options or if my understanding is wrong.
