r4gl application will not update on linux system

I have recompiled with r4gl 7.20, an accounting application on my linux system. It is FourGen Order Entry V 3.11. Search works fine but when I try to add a record, an error message appears: Waiting for table stocntrc to become available. Updateing also yeilds a message: Somebody else is updating this document: try later. Updating and adding these same tables in SE work fine. Thanks for any help.
