Mirroring Informix database across a network

Hi, I was wondering if anybody could suggest a strategy for mirroring a copy of an Informix database on two seperate machines connected over a network. One machine would store the actual database, the other a copy. (The platforms I am considering are IBM RS6000s running Informix On-Line but need not necessarily be identical). The scenario I am talking about is as follows: One server holds a the working copy of the Informix database while a second on the network holds the "mirror" which is updated periodically. There are 2 reasons for this. 1. The mirror acts as a backup in case the 1st server fails. 2. Web access through CGI is offered, but for security purposes, only a copy of the database is made publicly available. Has anybody else carried this out before?
