ISAM error on SE 7.23UC1 on Unixware 7.0.1

I'm trying to do a "dbschema" and I get "100 -ISAM error: duplicate value for a record with unique key" for one table in particular. There doesn't appear to be any problems in referential integrity and the only constraint is the primary key (unique) . There are many foreign keys which reference this tables' primary key, but I'm able to get them out of "dbschema". Any thoughts on the cause? We had the same problem, but it went away when the Informix environmet variables for the DB-Language matches those are fixed on the Informix-db of dbscheme.
