HP/UX might crash, though, if in moving these shared segments to swap it ran out of swap. How much swap do you have for the 100MB RAM? You mention that this is a pre-production system. Perhaps additional swap beyond the small swap space that most OS installs create has not yet been allocated? Art S. Kagel
