You can use W3SQL together with Javascript (I suppose VBScript will also do it but I haven't test it yet) to achieve what you intend to do. For an example to validate an input on a form field you define the input tag for this field like: <input type="text" name="customer.customer_num" onChange="validate(this)" > and you define the following Javascript function function validate(obj) { document.forms[0].action="/sql=select" document.forms[0].db.value="yourdb" document.forms[0].st.value="select count(*) from customer" document.forms[0].submit() } After you change the content of the customer_num field its content will be validated against your database. You can instruct W3SQL to assign the result of your SQL operations in Javascript variables which you can further process. Another new feature is the support for Stored Procedures. You can pass your form input values to a Stored Procedure and let it do whatever you want to validate. You can have a look at http://wwwserv.orbit.de/w3sqldemo/ for a description/demo of W3SQL. Unfortunately this new features are not yet described at this URL but you can email me if you want further information.
