A question from a complete novice, How can I get the results from an informix sql in a format that I can import into MS Excel or MS Access, ie with some form of delimiter. Thanks Phil Morris
You can use the UNLOAD command
e.g.
UNLOAD TO filename DELIMITER "," SELECT .......

Th dbaccess unload command is usually OK. You may do better by getting
Jonathan Leffler's sqlcmd package from the IIUG Software Repository. Sqlcmd
can output true .csv format including column headings and optionally data
types.
