Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Will Landstrom asked whether Informix release notes and documentation exist once per version or per point release, such as 9.4 FC1 versus FC9. He then posted that he had found the docs. Jonathan Leffler later answered that it varies and later fix packs may include extra information, then noted the question had been retracted.

Hey everyone. I come from an oracle background so this seems a little unusual
to me...but....A very basic question..Regarding Informix Release Notes and
Documentation Notes - for the various verions of the same basic engine....say
for IDS 9.4 FC1, or IDS 9.4 FC2, or IDS 9.4 FC9, etc......is there ONE Release
document and ONE Documentation document for ALL of 9.4 or is there ONE Release
doc and One Documentation doc for each separate 'point release'. I ask because
I can only find one set of documents - not one per each indiviual "FCX". Am I
missing something? Thanks

I didn't see a response to this...
It varies a bit, but I think the release notes with the later versions
(fix packs) may include extra information. It is something that has
changed over time, though, and I could be stuck in a time warp.

Ahhhh...different subject line (not even a reference to the previous
subject in the current subject)...oh well...My response doesn't
matter.
